Milliseconds and their divisions

I took a day out today,

a day out among people,

yet far away

unravelled in hours of bird-watching.

Hours turn to minutes,

minutes to seconds,

and time is outstretched

even further to milliseconds

and their divisions.

…

Time was up, awaiting no one,

and I emerged,

my own wings changed,

fluttering the milliseconds within.
